3DVinci provides hands-on books, projects, and tutorials designed to help everyone think and create in 3D – a crucial skill in today’s job market. Their teaching resources, based on the FREE software Google SketchUp, extend from K-12 up to professional designers.

For all ages in K-12: SketchUp Projects of the Month

Each month 3DVinci sends out three Google SketchUp projects for students in K-12, which can also be enjoyed by design professionals, teachers, and parents. These projects target various ages and subjects; one project each month will focus on a 2D or 3D geometry topic.  You can sign up as a subscriber and receive three projects each month for a year, and back "issues" are also available in 6-month sets.

For Ages 8-15: ModelMetricks

ModelMetricks is a series of 3D design project books for ages 8 - 15, based on Google SketchUp. After the first few pages of the first book of the Basics Series, kids will have their first model, and they'll want to keep reading and creating! ModelMetricks books are a great way to allow your children to have creative fun on the computer while absorbing valuable spatial and design skills. They’ll have so much fun, they won’t even realize how much they’re learning!

For Middle School and High School Students: GeomeTricks

GeomeTricks is another series of hands-on books, which use interesting Google SketchUp projects to teach 2D and 3D geometry concepts such as symmetry, tessellation, fractals, periodic and aperiodic patterns, and Platonic and Archimedean solids. These projects are not only ideal for kids interested in math; they’re great for budding artists as well!

For all ages, 3DVinci also offers Robotics Projects, which show how to use free SketchUp models from the 3DWarehouse to create cool Lego robots.

If you want to offer your child a fascinating and fun way to develop his or her artistic, design, and math skills, please visit www.3dvinci.net and check out the entire line of products and projects.
