Do your high school age kids have any solid plans for employment, or education beyond high school? Do their plans and ideas change weekly, if not daily? Are you concerned that they might not be performing as well in school as they could, because they see no relevance to it? Often, students see no connection between school and the world of work, which makes it difficult for them to perform well and to continue their high school, or any other, education. It is very difficult for your teen to succeed in today’s highly competitive labor market, without developing potential career directions while still in high school. They may drift aimlessly for years, perhaps never identifying a suitable career. They may go to college, but drop out prior to graduation, because they chose their major for the wrong reason, or for no reason at all.
Through specialized assessments and one-on-one counseling, the following goals can be reached:

• Guide students in career goal-setting techniques
