This state provides for parents to qualify as a private homeschool, hiring a private tutor or enrolling in either a private Independent Study Program (ISP) or a public school ISP. In the public school ISP, the school does everything a regular public school would in terms of record keeping, attendance requirements, etc.
Reporting: To qualify as a private school, parents must file an Affidavit of intent with the state Superintendent of Schools each year between October 1 and 15. Attendance records must be kept.
Compulsory Attendance: Between the ages of 6 and 18
Required Subjects: The same as those in the public school in the English language. Parents must inquire independently as to what the syllabus is for each year.
