Reporting: Parents must file a form called a "Non-Public Education Compulsory Instructions Report" with the local school superintendent by October 1 of each school year. Thereafter, they have to submit a quarterly report to the superintendent showing the child's progress.

Compulsory Attendance: Ages 7 to 16; no attendance requirement

Required Subjects: Math, reading, writing, fine arts, literature, history, government, geography, science, health and physical education.

Testing: An annual standardized test, approved in advance by the superintendent must be administered.
